Rambling On

Wow… I think mother nature is trying to confuse me. For the past few days we have had nicer weather than we did this past summer but today you’d swear to god that it’s going to snow! It is so…. cold out today that my house is freezing. Now the past few days it was so hot outside that I really did regret putting away my air conditioner. But it is fall now and not summer so I guess I’ll have to get used to the cold temps once again. I just wish mother nature would make up her mind and let me either be hot or cold, not both!

So after writing the initial articles for this company and receiving more work on writing some articles on htc incredibel s which I had no clue what it even was, I decided that his company really wasn’t a good fit for me. Yes, I could of used the extra cash, but honestly when I sat down and figured out the time it would take to do the research and then write up the articles I decided my time was a little more valuable then what they were willing to pay. I really didn’t want to give up this job, but I just couldn’t justify working that hard for a little bit of cash. So I’m on the hunt for a different company to see if I can make a little more money than this contract was offering me.

A couple of weeks ago at my work my shifts got cut. So I had to start looking for more ways to try to earn a little more income. Well last week I got hired by a different company to start to write articles. I’m glad I got the job as it does mean more money in my pocket but with my first assignment to write five articles on hydraulic crimping tools I’m a little concerned on the type of work they are going to require of me. I think I’m going to end up spending a lot of time researching and I’m really hoping this extra work doesn’t cut into my bottom line. But I’m going to give it a go and see what happens. Because after all, I really do need the extra cash.

Well once again it’s the weekend and once again we have no plans. Man… life is pretty boring around here. Oh yeah, I have loads of work that I could do but there is nothing that I really want to do. But… I guess I’ll have to figure something out. I’m really starting to get a little depressed with life these days and honestly if I don’t find something different or interesting to do I think I’m going to go a little looney. Oh well, that’s life as a grown up I guess. So I guess I’ll just have to go and do some boring stuff once again and hope that life will get interesting sooner rather than later.

Well another family member got married and again I wasn’t able to attend. One of my nieces got married over the weekend and because she lives over 1000 miles away from me I wasn’t able to attend her big day. But because of the Internet I was able to see her beautiful beautiful wedding pictures taken by raleigh wedding photographers the very same day that they got married. If the pictures are anything to go by, she had a wonderful day and ceremony was beautiful. I wish I could have been there to celebrate the day with her, but at least I was able to see the pictures the same day and be able to see that yes, she is finally happy.

Man… I am so broke now it’s not even funny. Between really small paychecks from work, computer problems here at home and trying to get two kids ready for school, my bank account is in a very bad state. I had planned on purchasing my father in law some kia optima custom floor mats for his birthday but until I get more money in my bank account I don’t think that’s going to happen. I absolutely do love summer and having the extra vacation time off from work, but honestly I can’t afford summer. Oh well, summer vacations are almost over and soon I should start seeing bigger paychecks and a higher bank account once again.

I have to say that these past couple of days with my internet service has not been fun! My router keeps shorting me off and kicking me off my internet connection. So I have spent quite a bit of time on the phone with my service provider and quite a bit of time trying to fix the problem. But I guess the only way to fix this problem is for me to get a new router. Until then I only have internet when it decides it wants to work. So any plans of blogging about halloween props or anything else for that matter will have to be put on hold for a couple of days. But hopefully things will get sorted out when I get a new router in the next couple of days.

Here in Eastern Canada we don’t normally see to much hurricane type weather. But apparently we are supposed to be getting some of this hurricane Irene. It has been all over the news that this massive storm is supposed to hit our province sometime later today. We have been doing some preparations getting ready for it just in case it hits harder than it’s supposed to. I’m not hugely concerned about it, but I am really scared for the people that are right in the middle of it. So stay safe all and hopefully none of us will get hit as badly as they are forecasting and will all be safe and sound when it’s all over.

Well less than three weeks and these children will be back in school. And I for one can’t wait!!! But before they head back to school I have to head to the stores to finish up their back to school shopping. And although the stores won’t be quite a busy then if there was a Black Friday sale, they are still quite busy and I hate crowds. But if going into the store and purchasing items for them to go back to school is what I need to do then I will do it. I just hate the thoughts of shopping with a crap load of people doing the same thing.
