Rambling On

In two more days the children will be done school for the summer holidays. They are both looking forward to a summer of fun and relaxation. I’m not sure how much relaxing I’ll get done having a couple of kids home and underfoot, but we will see. So over the next couple of days I need to get quite a bit accomplished. There are just certain things I don’t like to do when the children are around, so I have to make sure that I get everything done that I want to have done before Friday. Oh well, in September I knew this day was coming so I guess I’ll have to suck it up.

My youngest son and his father are quite close. They have a lot of things in common and just love to do father and son things together. One are they have started to heavily get into is playing with electric airsoft guns. Although my son is only eight, he is very careful when he plays with his Airsoft Electric Guns. And is only allowed to use them when his father is around to supervise. He is very good at following this rule. He does not beg and whine to play with his electric airsoft gun if his father isn’t around. I really have no interest in electric air soft guns so this is why he must wait until his father is available. I do special things with our daughter, so it’s quite nice that the boys have this little sport to do together.

I really do hope that the weatherman holds true to his word today. They are calling for cloudy with sunny periods. No rain showers have been mentioned. I really hope this does work out in the end. Both the kids have their annual sports field day at school today, but if it rains they won’t be able to participate. Both the kids went to school in shorts and didn’t take a lunch as they are supposed to be having a BBQ. So hopefully for their sakes, the weather stays the way it’s supposed to. Finger’s crossed everyone!

My daughter’s grade 5 class was supposed to go bowling today. But due to heavy rains, their trip got cancelled. Yeah. I know your wondering why would the trip get cancelled because of rain, since most people bowl inside right??? Well it got cancelled because they were going to walk to the bowling alley. But the teacher’s kind of expected this to happen and made other plans. So although they don’t get to go bowling, they will still be having a fun day at school. And I don’t know about the other kids, but my daughter is just as happy to be doing fun things at school as she was to go bowling. So all in all everything worked out OK.

A couple of weeks ago I went to the hairdressers and had my hair cut and dyed. For the past couple of weeks, it’s looked really good. But my husband noticed this morning that my hair has started growing and the roots are totally gray. So he started teasing me about all my gray and the fact that he doesn’t have one gray hair on his head. Well, at least he has no need to tease me about weight loss or taking an ephedrine product. But seriously, I’m only 41, but if I had no color in my hair, I would be completely gray. This just saddens me….

In a couple of weeks, my younger brother will be turning 40. Well his wife is having a surprise birthday party for him. Yesterday we got our Birthday Party Invitations in the mail.
