It’s Friday!

Yay! It’s Friday once again. So it’s once again time to figure out what we are going to be doing this upcoming weekend. We are supposed to get a little rain over the weekend so I’m sure we won’t be doing a whole lot of BBQing (which also means I won’t have to invest in the best diet pill either). But I’m sure we will be able to find something fun to do. We are really hoping that it doesn’t rain Saturday night as we are planning on taking the kids to the drive in. But I guess we will have to wait and see.

So have a great weekend and I’ll see you all again the first of next week.

I need to run away

The kids have only been home from school for a little over a week now and they are driving me crazy. The amount of fighting they do is unreal and it really hasn’t stopped much over the past week. Matter of fact yesterday it got so bad that I threatened them that if it didn’t stop, I was going to run away to the Outer Banks. They didn’t take me seriously and the fighting did continue. I would have to say between the two of them, my son is probably the biggest trouble maker of the two. But my daughter has a tendency to over react. Hopefully this fighting will stop soon and I will not have to run away.

Cars are expensive

Last week my husband took his car in to the shop to get it’s annual inspection. And, much to our surprise, his car failed. The quote the shop gave him to get the car fixed was out of this world. I can just imagine what type of prices they would have charged him had he been purchasing Ferrari parts. But, he went out and found the parts himself and put them on himself. So this did save him quite a bit of money. In end we did save some cash, but it still did cost us quite a bit to get this car legal for the road.

Dream career

When I was growing up, I always wanted to be a lawyer. My mother always said that I would be good at it, as I always loved to argue. But I never went that route in life. Every once in a while I’ll start thinking about this type of career again. Especially when I see a commercial on TV for Rochester personal injury lawyer or something similar. But, at my age, I really can’t see anything coming out of this. When I was younger I really wished that I had of followed my dream. But, I guess I’ll just have to be content with the life that I do have.

I received a long distance phone call from my brother today. His baby girl just gave birth to her first baby girl.

This makes five grandchildren for him. And he’s just as proud of this one as he has been for the last four. So I asked him to tell my niece congratulations and hopefully soon I’ll receive some pictures.

I just love it when I receive Holiday Thank You Cards. I find that it’s just a polite way for people to express their thanks when another person takes the time to give them something. And I always make sure that I have lots of Christmas Holiday Thank You Cards on hand as well. To me, this part of life is only courteous. It’s really too bad that most people don’t feel this way about holiday thank you cards in the same way I do. I think handing out Christmas thank you cards is a great lesson to teach our children and a great way to foster friendships.

Finally it’s once again Friday. So you all know what that means don’t you?? That means that it’s once again the weekend. Well this weekend will be a little special at our house. Not only is it father’s day, but the kids will be finished school and my husband starts his vacation, so we will be doing some camping.

So, I probably won’t be around much this weekend. So at this time I would like to wish you all a seriously fun and relaxing weekend. And to all you dads out there, have a great father’s day!

Summer plans

As the school year comes to an end (tomorrow), I have been making plans trying to figure out what to do with the children this summer. I have been also trying to figure out how I am going to work around them being home. Well, I have decided to try to revive my home crafting business. The first thing I have decided to do is to purchase some Business Stationery and Business Invitations to announce to the world that I am again open for business. I am hoping that by purchasing these Business Announcements
and business stationery that I will be able to get my name back out there as having some home made crafts for sale. So, if you find a business announcement in your mailbox, don’t be alarmed. It’s just me trying to drum up business.
