Working from home this weekend

Normally on the weekends I try not to be working on my computer but as it seems to lately, time just got away from me. So I’m doing a lot of work on my computer this week. I wasn’t able to finish up my research on www.facebook.com/ProFlowers or get the articles that are due Monday morning either. So that means I have to spend a lot of time on my computer this weekend instead of spending this time with my family. But with Christmas coming I guess I have no choice. I need this extra money and if I have to put in a little extra time over the weekend to earn this extra cash then that’s what I’ll have to do. I just hope this doesn’t happen too often.

Trying to stay afloat

I’ve got to tell you all that life around here is getting pretty difficult. So I’ve started looking for free samples and/or coupons. If there’s anyway I can save my money a little extra money, I’m willing to do it. I have recently joined a site that offers free product samples on items such as eyelash growth products and things of that nature and I’m really hoping that over the next few weeks that they offer other product samples as well. Yes, I know they are only samples, but if I can save a little cash by using them, then I say why not.

Work is picking up finally

After months and months of business being slow we have finally started to pick up. My last few shifts have been pretty busy and it looks like we’re starting get some customers back. If things continue to go the way they have been then I don’t think I’ll need to look for any Internist Jobs in the near future. You never know when or if this type of business will be slow or busy so for now I’m just enjoying finally making a bit more cash and am enjoying my work once again.

More Christmas shopping done

I honestly don’t know why I resisted online shopping for so many years. I absolutely hate Christmas shopping and hate the stores so I don’t enjoy this part of the Christmas tradition very much and have a tendency to put my purchasing off. But now that I’ve discovered online shopping I’m having a blast finishing up all my shopping. Last night I found some citizen watches online and ordered one for my husband. So that’s him taken care of. Now next week I’m going to look for some items for the kids so I can finish up theirs as well. I’m really starting to enjoy Christmas shopping thanks to the Internet.

Getting ready for my first craft fair of the season

I love this time of year! This is the time of year that the craft fairs start to get going. And I for one am quite looking forward to these craft fairs. I have my first craft fair to attend to next weekend. So over the next week I’m going to put on quite a push to try to get as many crafts completed as I can. Hopefully if I can display a wide variety of items I can make a little extra cash. After all Christmas is only a couple of months away and with three kids and one husband to buy for money becomes a little tight this time of year. So… after the show I’ll be sure to pop in and let you all know how I made out.

Long weekend

What a long weekend I had here at my house. The kid’s teachers had meetings on Friday and today so that meant they were home for four days in a row. Well I guess today they started to get a little bored because they didn’t really stop fighting all day. It is now 5:00 supper time and I have a headache and am exhausted. I know it’s because of all the fighting today. But on a good note, they will both be on that school bus tomorrow morning and I will once have my quite days back. Now all I have to do is get through the rest of the day today.

Moving my home office

I do have a home office but I haven’t been able to get into it for a couple of years. So I plug away on my computer on the kitchen table. All this means is that we don’t really have a kitchen table to eat at as a family and normally end up eating in the living room. Well last night my husband informed me that he is moving me from the kitchen table into the living room. It’s not my home office, but it’s still better than the kitchen table. At least in there I will have speakers for bookshelf that I currently don’t have access to here in the kitchen. I personally think it would be better if he just removed his junk from my room. But if he wants to move me to the living room then I guess that’s where I will be.

Buying a new vehicle

For the past few months my husband has been making noises about buying a truck for himself. A couple of years ago he bought a Jeep Liberty for himself but I have kind of taken over driving it. This means that he is left driving my car and I don’t think he’s really pleased about that. I have told him the only way I’ll let him purchase a truck is if he trades in my car and still leaves me the jeep. This means he will once again have a car loan and have to invest in some extra emergency road service options, but I think he’s be okay with that. So…. maybe soon I’ll be posting that he has bought a new truck and that the Jeep Liberty is mine to keep!

The next few days are going to be busy

Here in Canada we are all looking forward to a nice long weekend. This weekend is our Thanksgiving weekend and I have been doing a lot of things to try to get ready for it. I’ve been trying to get all my online work done so I don’t have to sit on the computer all weekend and I have been trying to get all my housework done as well. This year I don’t have to worry about cooking the big meal as we have been invited out so that’s one less thing I have to worry about.

So… if I don’t talk to you all again before the weekend have a great, safe weekend and don’t eat to much turkey!
