Although we have been having spring like weather for the past couple of weeks, the official first day of spring isn’t until tomorrow. Spring has got to be my most favorite time of year! It is the official ending of a long miserable winter and the start of something great! Around this time of year I spend a lot less time on the Internet looking up fat burners reviews and other stuff and spend more time outdoors. So I guess for the next little while, I will be enjoying the days outside and just waiting in anticipation for the first signs of summer.

With the unseasonably warm temperatures we have been having lately, this got me to thinking that I should really start digging out our spring and summer clothing. So yesterday I started digging out these clothes. After looking at my bathing suit, I really did have to wonder if I would need to invest in some weight loss products or buy a new suit. I’m pretty sure it won’t fit me this year. Oh well, if it costs me a little bit of money to get ready for the summer season, that will be okay. It will be money well spent as it will mean that summer is really on it’s way.

Yay! March break it over. What a long week! Last week both the kids were home and I have to say, that this was probably the longest week of my life. I normally don’t look forward to Monday mornings but this morning, you couldn’t keep me in bed. Now with both kids out of the house, I can finally get cracking on all my work that needs to be done. I have a lot of housework to do, need to do some blogging, write some articles on personalized gifts and do some grocery shopping. But even knowing all this work lies ahead of me, I’m still happy that it’s finally Monday!

Because we are expecting a massive snowstorm tonight and tomorrow, there are a lot of things I need to get done. So later on this morning I need to head out to the grocery store, go to the bank and head to the store to buy a birthday present. I need to get this all done as there is no way I will be driving anywhere tomorrow. If we get what were supposed to, I probably won’t even be able to get out of my driveway. But at least I know it’s coming so I can be prepared. Have I mentioned lately how much I hate winter?!

Last night my husband and I were looking through the pictures on our camcorder and I have to say that I absolutely loved it. There were so many pictures on it that I had completely forgot about. There was a lot of pictures of the kids when they were quite a bit smaller and it was nice to sit back and replay all the memories in my head. Life gets so busy these days, that sometimes it’s just best to sit back and enjoy the memories. Kids don’t stay small for very long, so this was actually quite nice just to sit back and remember the days when they were so little.

In my last post I mentioned that we got hit with a serious snowstorm. Well, I’m happy to report that we were all able to dig ourselves out of the mess and everything seems back to normal now. For the past few days we have had real mild weather (for this time of year) and now a lot of that snow we got last weekend is gone. I really hope these mild temperatures hold up and we see more and more of this snow gone. I know it’s winter and I should expect this type of weather, but I have to tell you all that I absolutely hate winter!! Come on spring!!

Well now with the Christmas season almost behind us, it’s time once again for us to get back to real life. The kids are still home from school for a week, but both my husband and I have gone back to work. So that’s means I need to get back to work at my home as well. I’ve got a lot of work to do on my computer and lots of housework that needs to be done as well (this includes cleaning my Toto toilet). Oh well, real life must go on. It can’t be a holiday all the time now can it?!

Although Christmas is usually a happy time for most people, this year my best friend has the Christmas blues. Last month her son checked into a drug rehab center and it looks like he won’t be able to get out any time soon. So this has gotten her a little depressed. She does plan on seeing him over the Christmas holidays, but it’s still not the same thing. I have tried to tell her that at least he’s in a drug rehab program, so eventually he will get better and be home for many, many more Christmas’s to come. But, it’s still very difficult for her.

Last night we received a lot of rain. And this morning it is quite mild out. So this makes for a lot of ice, which is quite evident in my driveway. This morning when I tried to take the kids to the bus stop, my car got stuck in our yard. It didn’t matter what I tried, I still couldn’t move the stupid thing. So I had to walk both the kids to the bus stop. Well, that’s just a little too much exercise for me first thing in the morning. Hopefully some of this ice clears up by the time to go get my son off the bus, or it will be more exercise for me. Man…. I hate winter!

As you seen from my last post, my kids are home from school today. And…. they are already driving me nuts!! It’s only 10 in the morning and the amount of fighting that has taken place has been unreal. All my son (who’s 9) has been doing is complaining that he is bored and has nothing to do. It’s not like he doesn’t have a rackmount lcd TV to watch or massive video games to play or anything like that. He’s just bored. If this keeps up, I’m either going to end up spending a lot of time in my room for me time, or he is going to spend a lot of time in his room. I haven’t decided which option to go for quite yet. But I know it’s coming.
