I need to run away

June 30th, 2009 -- Posted in Life | No Comments »

The kids have only been home from school for a little over a week now and they are driving me crazy. The amount of fighting they do is unreal and it really hasn’t stopped much over the past week. Matter of fact yesterday it got so bad that I threatened them that if it didn’t stop, I was going to run away to the Outer Banks. They didn’t take me seriously and the fighting did continue. I would have to say between the two of them, my son is probably the biggest trouble maker of the two. But my daughter has a tendency to over react. Hopefully this fighting will stop soon and I will not have to run away.

Cars are expensive

June 29th, 2009 -- Posted in Life | No Comments »

Last week my husband took his car in to the shop to get it’s annual inspection. And, much to our surprise, his car failed. The quote the shop gave him to get the car fixed was out of this world. I can just imagine what type of prices they would have charged him had he been purchasing Ferrari parts. But, he went out and found the parts himself and put them on himself. So this did save him quite a bit of money. In end we did save some cash, but it still did cost us quite a bit to get this car legal for the road.

Announcing your baby

June 13th, 2009 -- Posted in Life | No Comments »

When a person discovers that they are expecting a baby, the first thing they want to do is shout it out to the world. And what better way of making this announcement than having Birth Announcements made up? Right now there are so many types of Birth Announcements available on the market that it’s nearly impossible not to find the perfect one. By getting baby birth announcements made up, you are not only taking the opportunity to announce your baby, but this baby birth announcement will be wonderful keepsake for you to hold on to show your child when they are a bit older.

New camera

June 9th, 2009 -- Posted in Kids, Life | No Comments »

Well my husband finally listened to me! Last night he came home from work with a brand new digital camera for me. And it’s all mine! There really was nothing wrong with the old one, it was just way to big to carry around. This one he bought me is quite small so it can fit in my purse and I can take it anywhere. Well over the next couple of weeks I plan on getting a lot of use out of it. I will be taking it with me when I go to supervise my son’s swimming class and will have it in my pocket for my daughter’s grade 5 graduation. Finally I will be able to get some great pictures of the kids.

A baby at my age??

June 8th, 2009 -- Posted in Kids, Life | No Comments »

Here I thought at my age I was too old to have another baby. But when I was looking through the Birth Announcements in our local paper over the weekend, I was extremely surprised to see a woman my age that had just given birth. So, I guess I’m not too old yet. But, there will be no more babies for me. Now I have to wait to place Photo Birth Announcements in the paper when my grandchildren are born. When I had all three of my children, I did place a baby birth announcement so when the grandchildren start arriving I will probably place a childbirth announcement on their behalf as well. But as far as giving birth at my age, nope, not going to happen.

Career goals

June 6th, 2009 -- Posted in Life, Work | No Comments »

Right now I work as a waitress at a very busy family restaurant and quite happy with the job I do. But I do have different dreams and career goals that I would love to achieve. One area that I would love to get into is programming and by what I have been reading lately while checking out different jobs in programming, this field is growing by leaps and bounds. But right now a career switch just isn’t in the cards for me. When my children are old enough to look after themselves, I do plan on going back to school. After all, I don’t want to be a waitress for the rest of my life. But for now it suits me and my current needs.

Another invitation

June 5th, 2009 -- Posted in Life | No Comments »

It seems like every time I check my mail, there is an invitation of some sort in there. Yesterday when I checked the mail, I received two Wedding Shower Invitations. One was for my cousin who is renewing her vows and the other one was for one of the guys my husband works with. Now I do realize that this is the time of year for wedding announcements, but the amount that I have been getting lately is starting to get crazy. I will just have to pick few to go to and forgo the rest.

Baby boom

June 4th, 2009 -- Posted in Friends, Life | No Comments »

I was listening to the radio this morning and heard the announcer claim that there is a serious baby boom happening in our area these days. I can believe it with all the Baby Shower Invitations that I have been receiving lately. It seems to me that all my friends are now starting to have grandchildren. And they all have been giving out Baby Shower Invitations. The only problem with receiving some many baby shower invites is the fact that some of them are on the same day. So I have to decide which ones to attend and which ones I’m going to have to miss. Oh well, at least our population is growing again.
