Well less than three weeks and these children will be back in school. And I for one can’t wait!!! But before they head back to school I have to head to the stores to finish up their back to school shopping. And although the stores won’t be quite a busy then if there was a Black Friday sale, they are still quite busy and I hate crowds. But if going into the store and purchasing items for them to go back to school is what I need to do then I will do it. I just hate the thoughts of shopping with a crap load of people doing the same thing.

Well yesterday was the start of the children’s summer vacation. And if yesterday was any indication of what I have to look forward to this summer, boy…. am I in trouble. The kids spent most of their day fighting yesterday. So bad actually I hate to set aside some orogold articles that I was writing because I just couldn’t concentrate. I’m really hoping all of this fighting ends soon otherwise it’s going to end up being a very long summer for the children and myself.

Well I have two ceremonies to attend to tomorrow and they are both within an hour of one another. At 10:00 I have to be at my daughter’s middle school to watch her get an award and then have to leave there and head down to my son’s elementary school to watch his graduation from grade 5. I don’t know how I’m going to pull this off, but both kids want me in attendance. So I’m going to try my best to attend both. I’ll have to remember to charge up the canon digital cameras so I can capture both events for my husband. Hopefully I can make both events and both kids will be happy.

Well this is the final week of school for the children before they are let out for summer vacation. So what does that mean for me?? That means I will have two children underfoot for the next couple of months and get to listen to quite a bit of fighting. So I think this is going to mean that doing articles on dual diagnosis treatment which require a lot of research and concentration will be out of the question. Oh well, the kids did amazing again this year and certainly do deserve this break. I just hope I can live through it.

Here in Canada we have a long weekend. It is the time of year that we celebrate the Queen’s birthday. Well my children have an extra long weekend this weekend. They are also home from school today as their teachers have meetings. So it’s going to be a very long weekend for me. I won’t be able to get much done this weekend and forget about shopping around for a better Medicare plan like I planned to. So I’m just going to try to get through a noisy long weekend and just pray that Tuesday doesn’t take too long coming around.

Well March break has ended and the children are both back in school! Can you tell how happy this makes me??? Last week was such a long week with both the kids home and there were times when I seriously had to wonder if I would make it through an entire week. They spent most of their week fighting and it just about drove me nuts. But at 7:30 am this morning they both walked out of the house and down the hill to catch their buses. So right now I am sitting here (yes, typing) drinking coffee and just enjoying the quiet. It won’t last long, as they both will be back later on this afternoon. But while it’s quiet I’m enjoying it!

Thank God March break is almost over! This has been one heck of a week and I for one will be glad to see it over. The children have spent most of the March break fighting and this has caused me to suffer with a headache each and every day. I haven’t been able to get much of anything done on the Internet this week. I did manage to apply for two different positions. One for writing articles on the best online university for a person to enroll in and the other one is for a transcription company. I haven’t heard back from the transcription company yet, but I have heard back about the online university job and found out I got that. So except for these two things, not much has gotten done around here. But only three days left and then once again the fighting will stop and I will be able to get back to work.

Man I’m getting so frustrated with these two children. Every day I ask them to clean their rooms and everyday it’s the same fight with the room barely being touched. So I’ve decided to try something different. My son has been asking for a nintendo dsi and my daughter has been asking for a new cell phone. Well I have decided to bribe these children. If they clean their rooms and keep them clean for two months I will get them the items they asked for. Really I’m at my ropes end with these two and I don’t know anything else that might work. I’ll let you all know if my bribery tactic works.

Man… when is this crap going to end??? On Wednesday the kids were home from school due to the snowy weather and poor road conditions. Well guess what?? Today they are home once again due to a pending snowstorm. I honestly don’t think we ever had as much time off when I was growing up as these kids do. I really hope we get all this snow they are calling for. Otherwise I’m going to be seriously upset that the kids were home once again today for nothing. Oh well, they’re happy.

My son does something pretty neat for the kids at Christmas time. They hold a Santa’s workshop for the children. This gives the kids the opportunity to shop for their relatives and purchase them small gifts. Well my son had a blast at Santa’s workshop. He bought a present for me, his sister and his father. He looked for something for his grandfather and his wife but said all he could see were ties and figured his grandfather’s wife wouldn’t get much use out of those. So… he had fun, bought his gifts and is extremely happy with his purchases.
