Earning extra cash

October 18th, 2010 -- Posted in Internet, income | No Comments »

With Christmas close at hand and having to purchase lots of Christmas presents, I have actively been looking to find extra work on the Internet so I can earn some extra cash. Well I just picked up a contract with a company to do a few diet pill reviews. Although this is really not my area of expertise, it is extra cash so with a little bit of research I think I could do a really good job on this. And… if I do a good job they have offered me more work. So I guess I’ve got to do a really on these reviews now don’t I?!

This computer really has got to go!

May 28th, 2010 -- Posted in Blogging, Internet | No Comments »

I have only had this particular computer for a little over two years, but I am so close to throwing it out the window that it isn’t funny. This machine is so…. slow that it takes me forever just to post a blog post. I’m thinking about selling it and maybe purchasing a Mac computer. I hear the mac memory is absolutely amazing on these units. I really need to do something or I’m going to get frustrated and possibly stop using it for awhile. I really don’t want to do that as if I go offline for awhile, I’m going to lose a lot of money. Oh….. decisions, decisions.

Lots of e-mails

April 22nd, 2010 -- Posted in Internet | No Comments »

Although I check my e-mails constantly, it seem like every time I open my e-mail account, I have tons and tons of unwanted e-mails. I have tried e-mailing some of these people back to unsubscribe to whatever mailing list I might have “accidentally” got on, but I still get them. This morning I woke up to over 50 e-mails in my account but most of them were e-mails about herpes simplex virus 1 and stuff like that. Really??? Why would I want to receive this type of stuff. Oh well until I can figure out how to change this all, I guess I’m just going to have to put up with it.

Interesting work

March 30th, 2010 -- Posted in Internet | No Comments »

For the past couple of days I have been researching and doing some article writing on insurance marketing and I really have to tell you guys that I found all this information to be quite fascinating. So fascinating in fact that I’ve serious starting thinking about getting into this type of field. That’s the great thing about writing articles. You have to do research on topics your unfamiliar with and sometimes you learn new things that become of interest to you. I do plan on checking into this kind of thing a little more closely in the next few days and who knows, maybe it will be something that I can really sink my teeth into.

Fake e-mails

March 18th, 2010 -- Posted in Internet | No Comments »

Honestly folks, why do people bother?? I woke up this morning and went to check my e-mails. Well I was quite surprised to find over 30 e-mails sitting there waiting for me. And you know what??? Only three of them were legit e-mails. I got one that asked me to click here to learn more about best fat burners, a few about people wanting me to be their friend so I could help them out with their financial troubles, and even a couple telling me that an account of mine at a bank that’s not in my area has shut my account down. What the…? Don’t these people have anything better to do with their day than to create fake e-mails? Guess not. Oh well, that’s why the delete button has become one of my best friends.

Still testing my patience

February 16th, 2010 -- Posted in Blogging, Internet | No Comments »

My computer was acting up so badly yesterday that I finally had to shut it down for the day. It was either this, or throw the thing out the window. And since computers cost a lot of money, I chose option A. Well, it’s not working much better today. It is a little faster, but when I tried earlier to do a post on best muscle building supplements, after I hit submit the entire screen went black. So… I rebooted it and thankfully never lost the post. I really don’t know how much more of this I can take. I may have to start using the kids little netbook until I can afford a new computer for myself.

Computer crashed

February 15th, 2010 -- Posted in Blogging, Internet | No Comments »

I have to tell you all, that I’m just about at the end of my rope with the computer. Not only does it take so…. long to boot this computer up and get on the Internet, but now when I try to do posts on any of my blog, this stupid thing just sits there for quite a while with the message that it’s loading. A little while ago I was trying to do a post on acne medicine and the computer screen just went black. So I had to reboot the entire system and wait for ever to get back into my blogs. Something has got to change. I don’t have the patience for all this waiting!

My computer sucks!

February 2nd, 2010 -- Posted in Internet | No Comments »

I’m really starting to despise computers. My computer especially has been giving me a great deal of trouble lately. Every morning (and yes, I mean every morning) I will turn it on and wait anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes for it to load up to the computer. Then… when I’m finally able to get online, the stupid thing jams up. So I have to unplug it and take the battery out and restart it again. Normally after I do this, it does work okay. But just trying to get online first thing in the morning, has become a serious pain.

I really do need a new unit, but until I’m done paying for my car, I just can’t see this happening. Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to keep doing what I’m doing with it, and pray to god that the computer fairy might head my way soon.

Possible career change

January 21st, 2010 -- Posted in Internet, School | No Comments »

Most of you may not know this, but I work outside the home as a waitress at a very busy family restaurant. Now most days I absolutely love my job, but physically it is getting kind of hard on me. I am on my feet constantly and most days am running around the restaurant as opposed to walking. This is why I have decided that this may be the time for me to make a career change.

I have decided to check out an online university to see what type of career change I may be interested in. I discovered a site over at Western Governors University which offers a lot of online courses that I could possibly be interested in. One of the courses that I have been heavily checking out is their bachelors degree online, and so far I like what I see. Not only are the classes done completely online (which eliminates travel time), but their professors are some of the best in their field. And when it’s all said and done, I will have a degree that is highly recognized in the industry. So… while I’m still making up my mind on whether this will be a good move for me, I will continue to check out this site a little more closely.

I was asked to check out this website and give my honest opinion of Western Governors University, for which I’m receiving cash compensation.

I hate my computer!

October 30th, 2009 -- Posted in Internet, general | No Comments »

I’m really beginning to despise my computer. Every day (no I’m not kidding), every day this thing jams up on me at least twice. Then I have to take the battery out and reboot it. Sometimes it takes me over an hour just to get on the Internet. I would love to get a new one, but with Christmas fast approaching I just don’t see this type of purchase in the near future. It has gotten so bad that at this point I would even welcome refurbished laptops. Anything has to be better than what I’m working with right now. But I guess I’ll have to keep using this one at least until the new year. Then I can see how much money we have left and see if a new laptop purchase is in the cards.
