House cleaning

Since the weather outside is so crappy I think I may do a little bit of spring cleaning today. My bathroom could use a thorough clean especially the cupboards and cabinets. I have some expired womens vitamins that needs to be tossed and I know for a fact I have some old towels which I could throw away as well. Cleaning the bathroom is definitely not my idea of a fun day, but with nothing else to do I may as well get that done and out of the way.

House hunting

Well it’s spring so you all know what that means don’t you?? That means that once again my husband and I have thoughts about purchasing a house. I would say that over the last three years, when spring finally does arrive, he starts to get antsy and thinks that he would like to find a house to purchase and to move out of this park. Well it hasn’t happened in three years so I don’t really have my hopes up that it’s going to happen this year either. I swear it would probably be less of a headache if we were looking for wholesale hot tub covers then us thinking about buying a house. But… I’ll play his silly little game once again, and who knows, maybe this year he will surprise me and buy a house.

Spring cleaning

Spring cleaning. What’s that???

A couple of months ago I started spring cleaning and really was hitting my groove. Then…. other things came up and all my spring cleaning kind of went by the wayside. Now because I have let it go so long I have to redo everything that I had already done and yes, that even means re-dusting all the blinds and everything. It’s times like this that I really wish I wasn’t the only one in this house who does the housework. Maybe if I had a little help, this process would go a whole lot quicker. But since I’m the one who has to do it, I guess I have to just buckle down and get started once again.

Spring cleaning

Last week I started my spring cleaning. I was able to get a good stab on my bathroom and started cleaning out bedroom as well. Today I plan on taking on my home office. Trust me when I say this, it’s going to be a really big job. Not only do I plan on cleaning this room thoroughly, but I would also love to redecorate it as well. I would love to put a wall sconce in, but I can’t see that happening any time soon. But I have to get this room clean before I can even think about redecorating. Hopefully it doesn’t take me too long to get this done and I can move on to the next room.

Extra work to do

Well if your a mother, then your really going to know what I’m talking about. Day in and day out, we do the same old thing. Housework, housework, housework. Then when spring arrives, we have extra work to do. Spring cleaning, spring cleaning, spring cleaning. Well yesterday I decided to get a start on all this extra cleaning. I started cleaning out the bathroom. I was quite amazed at all the junk that I found and needed to throw away. I even found some prenatalvitamins if you can believe that! Well today I plan on finishing the bathroom and tomorrow plan to start on our bedroom. Man… I can’t wait to all this extra cleaning is done.

Not much accomplished this week

This past week has been a really bad week. My two youngest kids were home from school all week for their school’s March break. Well I’ve got to tell you, that this was not fun. They fought the entire week and honestly, I am seriously exhausted. Because of all this fighting I wasn’t able to get anything accomplished this week. I just couldn’t concentrate on anything. I had all sorts of plans for this week and every one of them got pushed to the wayside. I really wanted to re-do my living room, but couldn’t even find the strength to dust my tv stands. Thankfully the end of the week is in sight and in a couple of days these two will be back in school. Maybe then I’ll be able to get a little bit more done around here.

Change of plans

Well last night my husband informed me that there is a change of plans in our moving schedule. He has decided to put an extension on our trailer and to renovate it and stay put. I really don’t know how I feel about this. On one hand it would be nice to move, but on the other hand it really does make more sense to put the money into this place and not have a mortgage hanging over our heads. This way to I wouldn’t have to leave my copper sinks that I love so much. I guess, I’ll just have to take a little bit of time and decide if this is something that I really want to do. If not, I guess him and I will be having a talk.

Christmas blues

Although Christmas is usually a happy time for most people, this year my best friend has the Christmas blues. Last month her son checked into a drug rehab center and it looks like he won’t be able to get out any time soon. So this has gotten her a little depressed. She does plan on seeing him over the Christmas holidays, but it’s still not the same thing. I have tried to tell her that at least he’s in a drug rehab program, so eventually he will get better and be home for many, many more Christmas’s to come. But, it’s still very difficult for her.

Long weekend coming up

This week the kids will be home from school Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It’s good for them, but bad for me. When they spend too much time together they have a tendency to fight and three days off together really isn’t a good thing. They have Friday off because of parent teacher meetings. So if I’m not around much over the weekend, one of two things happened. First they fought so much I ran away. Or second they fought so much I went crazy. Take your pick. All I know is it’s going to be an extremely long weekend.

Getting ready for the big mess

Last night my husband informed me that this weekend he plans on gutting the living room. So you all know what that means don’t you?? That means that for a while I will be living in a huge mess. Maybe I should check into some new orleans hotels for a while?? I do realize that the end result will totally justify the mess, but I am really not looking forward to living in it and cleaning it all up. Oh well, the better we make this place look, the easier it will be to sell it when the time comes. I’ll just have to keep that in mind while I wading through the mess for the next couple of weeks.
