Rambling On

Moving my home office

I do have a home office but I haven’t been able to get into it for a couple of years. So I plug away on my computer on the kitchen table. All this means is that we don’t really have a kitchen table to eat at as a family and normally end up eating in the living room. Well last night my husband informed me that he is moving me from the kitchen table into the living room. It’s not my home office, but it’s still better than the kitchen table. At least in there I will have speakers for bookshelf that I currently don’t have access to here in the kitchen. I personally think it would be better if he just removed his junk from my room. But if he wants to move me to the living room then I guess that’s where I will be.

House hunting once again

So we are once again house hunting. Yeah, I know I post this often, but my husband can’t seem to make up his blooming mind, whether we are staying put or moving on. Last night he was on the Internet looking up mobile homes for sale and I put a stop to that right away. If I wanted to have a mobile home, I’d just stay where I’m at. I want a house and I will only be looking at houses to buy. I don’t know if this will ever pan out for me but for now I’m just content that he is once again looking. Now if I could get him interested in looking at houses that would be a great start.

House hunting

Well once again my husband is making noises concerning moving. I have learned over the years not to get too excited over this but still… I can help but think that maybe this time things might be different. Last night he was checking out different houses for sale in our area and even looked quite closely at one that had a pool with handicapped pool lifts. But like I said, I’m not getting too excited. I’ll just wait and see if this time he is serious about a move. Only then will I start to get excited.

More spring cleaning

Well now that I’ve got most of the house finished of my spring cleaning. It’s time to head outdoors to see what kind of damage I can do out there. I want to check out some house address plaques and get the patio furniture all cleaned up and set out. The weather hasn’t been real great around this area lately so I’m a little slow in getting my outside work done. But it’s a beautiful day out today and since I don’t have to go to work, I think today will be the day that I get my outside spring cleaning started and hopefully finished.

Lots of work to do today

Well it’s a typical Monday. I have a crap load of work to get done today after the weekend. I have a lot of computer work to finish up with and have so much housework to do that I really don’t even know where to start. It’s days like today that I really wish I wasn’t the only one in the house that does anything. The rest of the family has no problem making messes, they just have a problem cleaning them up. Oh well, I guess I shouldn’t be so surprised. This usually happens to me every week.

Bribing the kids

Man I’m getting so frustrated with these two children. Every day I ask them to clean their rooms and everyday it’s the same fight with the room barely being touched. So I’ve decided to try something different. My son has been asking for a nintendo dsi and my daughter has been asking for a new cell phone. Well I have decided to bribe these children. If they clean their rooms and keep them clean for two months I will get them the items they asked for. Really I’m at my ropes end with these two and I don’t know anything else that might work. I’ll let you all know if my bribery tactic works.

It’s going to be a cold winter

It’s only the first of November and we already have to have all our room heaters turned on. So… if this is a sign of things to come for the winter, I think it’s going to be a cold one. Last year we didn’t have to turn any heaters on until December so we didn’t have to pay the extra costs in hydro. But it looks like this year is going to be a little different and we’ll just have to suck it up and pay the extra hydro money. After all, we have to stay warm.

Lots of work getting done

Now with both kids back in school I have found that I have so much more time to get things done around the house. I have been able to get my living room completely cleaned out, purchased a couple of contemporary coffee tables and re-arranged my office/craft space. I have also been able to pick up a bit more work on the Internet and have been able to finish this extra work. I didn’t realize just how much time was taken away from me when the kids were home until this past couple of weeks. I really hope I can keep this momentum going for a least a little while longer.

Lots of cleaning getting done

Since the last few days have been rainy and cold I decided to start thoroughly cleaning my house. I have started in our bedroom and I’m going to work my way down the trailer. I have started throwing out a lot of stuff and am trying to make some more room in our home. It really does amaze me at how much junk I’ve collected over the past several years. I don’t imagine I’ll get much more done this week as the weather is supposed to be really nice and I will want to spend more time outside. But I’ve made a start on it and that’s the main thing.
