One week to go

There’s only one week left until Christmas. How close are you all to being ready for the big day? I’m almost done everything and am extremely pleased with myself. I’m normally the person who is running around at the last minute trying to get things all tidied up. But not this year. By the end of the weekend I will be done every thing that needs to be done and will be able to relax next week with the family.

Three weeks until Christmas

Man, I can’t believe how fast time flies. I honestly thought I had a good jump start on Christmas, but now I’m not so sure. I still have a bit of shopping to do, lots of wrapping and all the decorating. Yeah, I know I still have time, but when there is only three weeks left, I tend to get a little anxious. I have quiet a bit of time today to get things done so hopefully I can scratch some of these items off my to do list. But man, it is getting a little close.

Christmas baking

Normally every year I buy all my Christmas baking. But this year I have decided to try to do my own baking. Yesterday I went to the grocery store and purchased a ton of baking supplies that I think I’m going to need. After looking at all my purchases I’m now kind of thinking that I maybe should have picked up some p90x as well. I don’t know how any of this baking will turn out and I’m really hoping I didn’t waste my money. But… you never know until you try right?!

I wish I lived in the US

Sometimes I really wish that I did live in the States rather than in Canada. I have been seeing a ton of Black Friday sales being advertised on the Internet and would love to be able to take advantage of all these sales. But since I live in Canada, the shipping and exchange on my money wouldn’t really make it worth it to me. But if I lived in the States, you can just bet that I would most certainly be taking advantage of a lot of these sales.

Chistmas wish list

Every year my husband asks me for a list of things that I want for Christmas. Well this year I have a very small list, but an expensive one. On my list I have a watch, a wireless printer and an iphone with a decent iphone warranty attached with it. See…. a small list, but a costly one. But since I haven’t asked for very much, I’m really hoping that I get everything on the list. Yes… I’m just as bad as a kid at Christmas.

A little too early

Last night as I was driving home from work I could not believe what I saw. That’s right people, some folks in our neighborhood had their christmas decorations up and lit. Well I think that’s a bit too early for this. It’s not even Halloween yet and these people are getting all ready for Christmas. Christmas shopping now, yes. Lighted Christmas trees and houses now, no. I think I’ll wait a few weeks before I put up mine.

Nine year anniversary

This coming Tuesday will be my husband and I’s anniversary. We have been together for over 16 years but have only been married 9. I have asked for the night off so that we can go out to supper for our anniversary like we always do. I have also been looking for the perfect gift for him and I think I’ve found it. I plan on purchasing him cedar grilling planks. We don’t normally purchase a gift for one another but after seeing this product and hearing him talk about I know this will be the perfect gift. Tuesday is going to be a great day and I can’t wait to see the look on his face when he opens his gift.
