Have a wonderful weekend!

This morning I woke up to temperatures that were at minus 20 degrees. Man…. that’s cold! So… being the nice mother that I am, I went out and started my car and drove both the kids to their bus stops. It really was too cold for them to walk. We are supposed to have temperatures like this for the next few days, so it looks like I will be driving them both for a couple of days. At least this morning we have no wind chill factor or it could be deadly cold.

Over the weekend we were hit with our first big snowstorm. And man, did we ever get hit. Between Friday night and yesterday, 25 cm of snow fell in our yard. This did not impress me one little bit. I don’t really care for driving that much, but I absolutely hate winter driving. And when I have to drive in a snowstorm, like I did on Saturday, normally I am quite terrified. But thankfully the storm is over and now all we have to do is to find the time to dig ourselves out. Yeah, I know it’s winter and I should expect these things, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it.

I’m really beginning to despise my computer. Every day (no I’m not kidding), every day this thing jams up on me at least twice. Then I have to take the battery out and reboot it. Sometimes it takes me over an hour just to get on the Internet. I would love to get a new one, but with Christmas fast approaching I just don’t see this type of purchase in the near future. It has gotten so bad that at this point I would even welcome refurbished laptops. Anything has to be better than what I’m working with right now. But I guess I’ll have to keep using this one at least until the new year. Then I can see how much money we have left and see if a new laptop purchase is in the cards.
