RV show

March 1st, 2010 -- Posted in Entertainment, Family | No Comments »

A couple of years ago my husband and I bought a brand new pop up camper trailer. So for the past couple of years we have been given a personal invite to attend our annual RV show that is held in town. Well this weekend was the show. Yesterday we loaded up the kids and headed off to the show. Well, the amount of used travel trailers that they had for sale would have absolutely blew your mind. I really don’t think we will be purchasing anything or trading up this year, but the show was still fun to go to and see what is out for this year. Maybe next year we will upgrade to a bigger trailer, but not this year.

Christmas blues

December 18th, 2009 -- Posted in Blogging, Entertainment, Home, Life, School | No Comments »

Although Christmas is usually a happy time for most people, this year my best friend has the Christmas blues. Last month her son checked into a drug rehab center and it looks like he won’t be able to get out any time soon. So this has gotten her a little depressed. She does plan on seeing him over the Christmas holidays, but it’s still not the same thing. I have tried to tell her that at least he’s in a drug rehab program, so eventually he will get better and be home for many, many more Christmas’s to come. But, it’s still very difficult for her.

Video games

October 1st, 2009 -- Posted in Entertainment, Kids | No Comments »

My youngest son is just too funny. When he’s in his room and playing his PS3 games, you can sure tell. When he’s losing all you hear is him hollering at the TV accusing it of cheating and when he is winning he is screaming even louder. Sometimes it’s really difficult to tell if he’s winning or losing. For the past three days now he has been glued to his TV and video games and it’s all I can do to get him to come out for something to eat. Then the yelling starts. At this point I don’t know where to laugh, cry or holler at him to quiet things down. Oh well, boys will be boys.

Weekend of fun

August 20th, 2009 -- Posted in Entertainment, Kids | No Comments »

Well the sun is supposed to be shining all weekend so first thing tomorrow morning we will be headed out to the camp site. We will be trying a different one this time so I think that the kids are going to have a really great time. We are going to one that has a beach instead of a pool which will be a little different for the kids. They also have tons of activities going on during the day for the kids. So I think picking a different camp site will be an adventure for the kids.

Two birthdays

July 27th, 2009 -- Posted in Entertainment, Kids | No Comments »

Next Monday is my daughter’s 11th birthday and next Tuesday is my son’s 9th birthday. So we have some presents to buy. My daughter has asked for an iphone and iphone accessories and my son has asked for a new DSI. As these are pretty big requests, I really don’t think we will end up making these purchases. They might get these gifts for Christmas, but not for their birthdays. But knowing these two kids, any thing we purchase them they will be happy with. Now all we have to do is decide what to buy them and then just go out and get it.

Camping in the rain

July 23rd, 2009 -- Posted in Crafts, Entertainment, Family, Home, Internet, Life, Parenting | No Comments »

Well it looks like this is what is going to take place. Last year we bought a brand new pop up camper trailer and have been making monthly payments on it ever since. But so far this year we haven’t been able to use it at all. I’m serious, it has rained every weekend since the kids have been out of school. Well my husband has decided that we are going to take the trailer out this weekend whether it rains or not. And yes, the weatherman is calling for rain all weekend. It’s too bad that we don’t do any rv camping. This way we wouldn’t have to worry about what the weatherman says. But we really need to get some use out of it. So… we will be going camping in the rain this weekend.

It’s Friday!

July 3rd, 2009 -- Posted in Entertainment, Family | No Comments »

Yay! It’s Friday once again. So it’s once again time to figure out what we are going to be doing this upcoming weekend. We are supposed to get a little rain over the weekend so I’m sure we won’t be doing a whole lot of BBQing (which also means I won’t have to invest in the best diet pill either). But I’m sure we will be able to find something fun to do. We are really hoping that it doesn’t rain Saturday night as we are planning on taking the kids to the drive in. But I guess we will have to wait and see.

So have a great weekend and I’ll see you all again the first of next week.

Father and son

June 15th, 2009 -- Posted in Entertainment, Family | No Comments »

My youngest son and his father are quite close. They have a lot of things in common and just love to do father and son things together. One are they have started to heavily get into is playing with electric airsoft guns. Although my son is only eight, he is very careful when he plays with his Airsoft Electric Guns. And is only allowed to use them when his father is around to supervise. He is very good at following this rule. He does not beg and whine to play with his electric airsoft gun if his father isn’t around. I really have no interest in electric air soft guns so this is why he must wait until his father is available. I do special things with our daughter, so it’s quite nice that the boys have this little sport to do together.

Party time

June 10th, 2009 -- Posted in Entertainment, Family | No Comments »

In a couple of weeks, my younger brother will be turning 40. Well his wife is having a surprise birthday party for him. Yesterday we got our Birthday Party Invitations in the mail. Actually these cards were really cute. But he hasn’t seen the Party Birthday Invitations so I really can’t tease him about them just yet. When I asked her where she purchased birthday party invitations, she informed me that she found them at www.express-invitations. This site sells all kinds of party invitations and will even customize your invitations party to your own specifications. When the time arises that I need some birthday party invitations, I can really see myself going to this site and purchasing a few of the cards that they offer.

Camping season

April 3rd, 2009 -- Posted in Entertainment, Family | No Comments »

Only six more weeks to go before the camping season officially opens in our area. That’s really not a long time to wait as we’ve already been waiting seven months. I really do love the camping season as it gives us all the opportunity to get a lot of family time in and also helps us all the get a lot more healthier due to the amount of exercise that we always end of getting. This is one time of year that none of us even have to think about taking a weight loss supplement. We just let mother nature do it’s thing. So, in six more weeks I will be able to start reporting on all our camping adventures. I just wish the season wasn’t so short. If it were up to me, we would be camping twelve months of the year.
