Lazy day today

March 28th, 2011 -- Posted in Health | No Comments »

It’s only 8:20 in the morning here, but I can already tell that this is going to turn into a lazy day today for me. I didn’t get a lot of sleep last night as it’s a little difficult to sleep when your coughing all night. So I’m really tired today and not at my very best. I’m supposed to write up some lipozene reviews for a company but I don’t even think I can manage that at this point. So I’m going to turn off my computer for a little while and try to get some rest. If I feel better when I get up I’ll come back on my computer and try to get some work done. But… if that doesn’t happen I’m not going to beat myself up about it. I’ll just end up taking a sick day and get back to work first thing in the morning.

He really does listen to me!

March 26th, 2011 -- Posted in general | No Comments »

Last night my husband came home late from work. When I asked him what held him up, he indicated that he stopped by the store and was looking at new desktop computers for me. I guess he really does listen to me! For the past couple of months all I’ve been doing is complaining about my laptop and how slow it is. So last he started checking out computers to see what kind of prices they were. He informed me that he just *might* purchase me a new one when his income tax finally comes in.

I’m going to bite the bullet

March 25th, 2011 -- Posted in Health | No Comments »

Well my husband just informed me that as of this morning, cigarettes are going up in price once again. So… I really do think it’s time I bit the bullet and tried to quit smoking. Not only is smoking bad for you, but now it’s going to cost me a heck of a lot more money to continue with this habit. So I’ve been looking for a cheap and affordable ecigarette to help me along the way. I know it’s going to be hard, but I have finally come to the point where I know I’ve got to do this. So wish me luck!

Quiet house today

March 14th, 2011 -- Posted in Kids, School | No Comments »

Well March break has ended and the children are both back in school! Can you tell how happy this makes me??? Last week was such a long week with both the kids home and there were times when I seriously had to wonder if I would make it through an entire week. They spent most of their week fighting and it just about drove me nuts. But at 7:30 am this morning they both walked out of the house and down the hill to catch their buses. So right now I am sitting here (yes, typing) drinking coffee and just enjoying the quiet. It won’t last long, as they both will be back later on this afternoon. But while it’s quiet I’m enjoying it!

March break almost over

March 11th, 2011 -- Posted in Kids | No Comments »

Thank God March break is almost over! This has been one heck of a week and I for one will be glad to see it over. The children have spent most of the March break fighting and this has caused me to suffer with a headache each and every day. I haven’t been able to get much of anything done on the Internet this week. I did manage to apply for two different positions. One for writing articles on the best online university for a person to enroll in and the other one is for a transcription company. I haven’t heard back from the transcription company yet, but I have heard back about the online university job and found out I got that. So except for these two things, not much has gotten done around here. But only three days left and then once again the fighting will stop and I will be able to get back to work.

Creating new jewelry

March 7th, 2011 -- Posted in Crafts | No Comments »

I have been creating jewelry and selling it for a while now. I normally stick with what I know which is glass beads and wires. But I have decided that I might just like to try something different. I’m thinking about creating some wire jewelry instead of using glass beads. I have bought a couple of magazines that gives you step by step instructions on wire management and on how to create that perfect piece of wire jewelry. It looks pretty easy but looks can be deceiving. So I think I’ll purchase some wire for this project and just see what I can create. If this jewelry turns out the way I want it to, then I’ll have something else that I can sell on my craft website.

Going to start spending a lot of money

March 4th, 2011 -- Posted in Life | No Comments »

So once again it’s that time of year that I start to spend a lot of money on personalized gifts. I have so many birthdays to buy for, mother’s day presents to buy and grading presents to look into as well. You would think that Christmas time would be the most expensive time of the year for me for gifts but no, it seems like it’s around this time of year that I end up spending a lot of cash. But with the Internet and Internet shopping being so close to my fingertips it really isn’t that difficult of a job to find the perfect gifts. It just usually costs me a bit of cash.

I’d love to win the lotto

March 3rd, 2011 -- Posted in general | No Comments »

I’d love to win the lotto! Who wouldn’t right?? Well the reason why I’d love to win so desperately is because then my husband could finally quit his job and maybe I wouldn’t have to listen to how much he hates it every night of the week. I play the lotto faithfully every week but just don’t seem to win very much. The most I’ve ever won was $10 and since I spend $11 every week on the lotto I really don’t count this as a win. But I’ll keep trying and maybe one of these days I can call up my husband and say, quit that job, I’ve won the lotto!

Upcoming craft fair

March 1st, 2011 -- Posted in Crafts | No Comments »

Well now that I have a lot of crafts made up and sitting in my craft room I have decided to try my hand at selling these items at an upcoming craft fair. I have already registered for a table and am keeping my fingers crossed that this little venture will pay off. One of my friends participate in these events all the time and she has great success with it. Even though she sells plus size corsets and stuff like that and I don’t, I still think that I can achieve great results from these craft fairs. If this one works out for me, I will definitely be participating in more of these in the future.
