I honestly can’t believe that January is almost over. Where does the time go?? Soon it will be February and will be Valentine’s day. So… I have been searching the Internet for some gift ideas for my husband. Every year I try to buy him some valentine’s day chocolates and another bigger gift. I’m starting to run out of ideas for his gifts and have pretty much decided just to purchase him a Canadian Tire gift card. After all this is his absolute favorite store to shop and he knows what he wants or needs. So… in addition to chocolates I think he will get a gift card as well.

After a week of having people home due to illness, everyone seems to be feeling better and they are all back to school and back to work. Having the family home did get me to thinking about our medicare supplement plans. I starting looking into different plans and discovered that if we needed additional health care coverage, allsup would definitely be a company that I would check out more closely. They have been in business for many years and have proven themselves to be leaders in the health care field. They not only provide the best coverage and help to anyone person need SSDI insurance, but they are also one of the cheapest companies for this type of service. So… it’s great to know that if the need ever arises in our household for this type of coverage and help, there is a great company to go for to help me with all my needs.

Man…. it’s cold! Right now it’s minus 23 degrees outside with a windchill factor of minus 36. That’s cold!!! I was supposed to go out and do some running around today, but I think I’m going to stay inside today where it’s warm. I guess my husband can go another day without his cigars. It’s just too darn cold to venture out today. We are supposed to *enjoy* this weather for the next three days so I really don’t think I’ll be traveling very far over the next little while. Have I mentioned how I absolutely hate the cold!

Man… when is this crap going to end??? On Wednesday the kids were home from school due to the snowy weather and poor road conditions. Well guess what?? Today they are home once again due to a pending snowstorm. I honestly don’t think we ever had as much time off when I was growing up as these kids do. I really hope we get all this snow they are calling for. Otherwise I’m going to be seriously upset that the kids were home once again today for nothing. Oh well, they’re happy.

So as you seen in a previous post I have been patiently waiting to hear back from Neilsen’s concerning their scanning program. Well I heard back from them today and they are going to send me a scanner in the mail in the next couple of weeks. I’m so excited and can’t wait!! So now that I know this scanner is coming I’m going to put off purchasing any of the best fat burners or things like that for a couple of weeks. That way when I do make these purchases I will be able to scan them into my scanner and start collecting points for my rewards.

I don’t normally make any new year’s resolutions. Do you?? I have found that over the years any resolutions that I make I tend to break within the first week. But my husband does. Well this year his new year’s resolution is to lose the extra weight that he’s been carrying around for years. He has decided to try out some diet pills to see if this can help him lose the weight. I have looked up some diet pill side effects to give him some insight into this. But the side effects really don’t bother him so I guess he’s going to go for it. Unlike me, I really do hope he sticks this out. He will definitely feel better for it.

A few months ago I was accepted into the Neilsen’s program. To participate in this program you have to purchase products like acne products, groceries, clothing, or gifts. When you get home you then scan the bar codes into your computer and then send a report to them once a week. Compensation for this program is that you get points and when you get enough points built up, you can choose items out of their catalogue for yourself. Well… I have been waiting months for them to send me the scanner. I really want to participate in this program but until I get the scanner, I can’t do anything. Man… I hate waiting!

Well the knitting bug has hit me once again so the other day I searched the Internet to find a free afghan knitting pattern that I could try out. I found one that I really liked so after scrounging around to find needles and yarn, I decided to give this pattern a try. I haven’t gotten very far on the pattern yet, but I like what I see so far. If this pattern works out the way it’s supposed to I am planning on making another afghan for my daughter. So I guess that’s the type of craft I will be enjoying for a while.

I just absolutely love my husband! Because of the type of job he has sometimes during the day he is around our area. When he happens to be around, he always drops by with a couple of cups of coffee from my favorite coffee shop. That’s one of the reasons why I love this man! Well today he was in the area so he stopped in with a couple of cups of my favorite coffee. So I’m good to go at least for the morning. Yes, I drink a lot of coffee. He helps to keep me awake and on track when I’m doing my work on the computer. So now that I have coffee in hand, I’ll be able to finish up all the articles I need to write on car insurance reviews. Have I mentioned how much I love my husband!!

I really have to laugh at people in my area. When we get hit with a major snowstorm like we did yesterday they get all in a panic and start complaining about the amount of snow we get. We live in Eastern Canada people, you must be used to it by now! We knew well in advance that this storm was coming so I made sure to stock up on supplies and had my iphone 4 charged up as well. Well the snow has stopped falling now so it’s time to start digging ourselves out. Oh man, you’ve just gotta love winter now don’t you?!
