Wonderful night’s sleep

November 29th, 2010 -- Posted in Health | No Comments »

After three weeks of not sleeping, last night I finally got a great night’s sleep! I don’t even have any dark circles under my eyes this morning. I went to bed at 9:00 pm and slept the whole night. It’s been such a long time since that happened that I almost forgot what it was like to sleep soundly. So because of this great night’s sleep, I have tons of energy today. I can honestly see me getting quite a bit accomplished today. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

Christmas baking

November 26th, 2010 -- Posted in Holidays | No Comments »

Normally every year I buy all my Christmas baking. But this year I have decided to try to do my own baking. Yesterday I went to the grocery store and purchased a ton of baking supplies that I think I’m going to need. After looking at all my purchases I’m now kind of thinking that I maybe should have picked up some p90x as well. I don’t know how any of this baking will turn out and I’m really hoping I didn’t waste my money. But… you never know until you try right?!

Selling my crafts

November 25th, 2010 -- Posted in Crafts, income | No Comments »

Now with only a month left, I’ve been cracking down on trying to sell some of handmade craft creations. I have invested in some business card printing and have been passing out a lot of business cards. I have had a few sales this way so the expense of getting the business cards made up has really paid off. I only wish I had more crafts already made or more time to make some more. Oh well, lesson learned. Next year I will make sure that I have all the supplies that I need before the Christmas buying season begins.

One down, one to go

November 23rd, 2010 -- Posted in Kids, School | No Comments »

Last Friday my son brought home his report card. I have to tell you all that I was highly impressed with how well he did as well as mildly surprised. He got all A’s and B’s on his report card and he had excellent behavior. It was his behavior I was a little concerned about as this boy really, really likes to talk. Teachers in the past have had problems with his talking so I figured this one would too. But nothing was mentioned so I guess it’s not a problem this year. My daughter brings hers home tonight and unless there is something going on that I’m not aware of, I expect hers is going to be pretty amazing as well.

I wish I lived in the US

November 20th, 2010 -- Posted in Holidays | No Comments »

Sometimes I really wish that I did live in the States rather than in Canada. I have been seeing a ton of Black Friday sales being advertised on the Internet and would love to be able to take advantage of all these sales. But since I live in Canada, the shipping and exchange on my money wouldn’t really make it worth it to me. But if I lived in the States, you can just bet that I would most certainly be taking advantage of a lot of these sales.

No tax sale

November 19th, 2010 -- Posted in Life | No Comments »

One of our major department and grocery stores in our area had their no tax sale today. I left early this morning to see if I could get some deals and beat the traffic but apparently I didn’t leave early enough. When I got to the store the parking lot was full and when I walked inside, well… forget it. I wasn’t in the store very long before the crowd got to me and I ended up leaving. I didn’t even get to check out the fat burning supplements like I wanted to. So, I guess I didn’t take advantage of the sale. It just wasn’t worth the headache to me.

On a health kick

November 18th, 2010 -- Posted in Family, Health | No Comments »

Usually once a year my husband will get on a health kick. Well it’s that time. Last night he asked me to check out information on Diet pills with amphetamine to see if he could find something that will work for him when trying to lose the extra pounds. So I did some research and gave him my recommendations. I really hope he follows through with this this time and sticks to it. But… if I know my husband, he’s still not ready to commit to losing this weight. Once he is, then maybe he’ll follow my advice and follow through.

Upcoming craft fair

November 18th, 2010 -- Posted in Crafts | No Comments »

This weekend is our annual Christmas craft fair in town. I plan on attending it this weekend but unfortunately again this year I won’t be putting a table in. I really wanted to put a table in this year but due to lack of inventory and crafting time I just don’t have enough stuff made up to make it worth my while. So I guess once again I’ll just be a spectator at this event and not a participate. One of these years I am going to put a table in. Just not this year.

Miserable day

November 17th, 2010 -- Posted in general | No Comments »

Today is a cold, windy and rainy miserable day. And… it doesn’t help that I barely got any sleep last night so I am exhausted as well. Although I have a pile of work that I need to get done on the computer, I don’t think I’m going to even be able to finish half of it. So I think I’ll do a little blogging, look up some cheap insurance online and then just shut my computer down. Today is the kind of day that you want to experience just laying around and I think that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

Dreading going to work

November 16th, 2010 -- Posted in Work | No Comments »

Later on tonight I have to go in for my regular shift and you can’t even imagine how bad I am dreading this. Last week we had a new POS system installed and every shift that I’ve used it has been pure he**. And… I really can’t see tonight being any different. So this is why I am dreading going into work. Honestly Friday night was so bad that I was actually considering checking out banking jobs and just getting out of there. Hopefully tonight’s not quite so bad, but I’m certainly not getting my hopes up.
