Sixty eight years ago today my dad arrived on this earth. Although he is not with us any longer, I still like to acknowledge this fact every year. So…. dad I know you’re around here somewhere reading this, so happy birthday and I miss you so… so much!
I have been a smoker for almost 30 years, and now I have come to realize that I really do need to quit. My family is constantly on me about smoking, but after smoking for as long as I have, I’m really terrified at the thoughts of quitting. I know I must, but that doesn’t make the situation any easier. I have been looking at possibly trying to quit with the use of an e cigarette. I’ve read some pretty good reviews about this product and I think maybe it just might work. So… I think I’m really going to try it. I know the family will be a lot happier if I try it and it works.
My contract is almost up for my cell phone so I’m going to have to either purchase a new one or just sign a new contract on the one I currently have. Well I’ve been thinking about getting an unlocked phone. I do like the phone I have now, but with all the newer style phones that are available that weren’t when I got mine, I really think I’d like a new one. But with me you honestly never can tell. I’ll mull this over for a few weeks and then maybe I’ll make a decision.
As you all know, I work at a waitress at a very busy family restaurant. Well my work life just got a whole lot busier. One of our major competitors has closed it’s doors for renovations and to tell you all that we have suddenly gotten a lot busier, is a serious understatement. Thursday night was the busiest shift that I’ve put in for a very long time. And on top of all this extra business our barcode scanner was on the fritz as well. Let me tell you all it was not a very nice night. But I got through it. Hopefully this is not a sign of things to come.
So after the last couple of weeks of major typing that I had to do, this morning I realized that I really have nothing pressing that needs to get done today. So I have decided to take a me day and step away from this computer. I have a few blog post to do, need to check my e-mails and then I’m getting off the computer. Honestly I don’t know what I’m going to do with myself since I’m not typing, but I think I can find stuff to do. What a great feeling to know right now I have no deadlines to meet!
Well as you all know, this upcoming weekend just happens to be a holiday! It’s Easter! And… if the weatherman is correct, this weekend is going to be a very nice weekend weather wise. For the entire weekend we are supposed to have a lot of sun and nice warm temperatures. It’s always nice to have this type of weather, but when it occurs on a holiday, it’s even nicer. Who knows maybe I’ll even get in the mood to hang out my allergy mattress covers and air them out. I think it would be a great weekend for that. Fingers crossed that the weatherman is correct!
