Still sick

April 30th, 2010 -- Posted in Health, Kids | No Comments »

Well it’s Friday and I still have my little fellow home with me. I guess this thing really took a hold of him and it doesn’t want to let him go. He has spent the last week coughing and that means at night time as well. So the entire family, himself included, hasn’t been getting a lot of sleep these days. I’m so tired, that I can barely see straight. It’s days like today that I wish I could afford Orlando vacation packages to just be able to run away and relax. But that’s not the case so I guess until this child stops coughing so much I guess I’ll just have deal with the lack of sleep that is quite rampant in my house these days.

Long week….

April 27th, 2010 -- Posted in Health, Kids | No Comments »

Yes I realize that today is only Tuesday but I have put in a very long week already. I have had a nine year old home sick and I really think he is the world’s worst patient. He really is sick and I know I should cut him some slack, but man… he is starting to get on my last nerve. I really wish he had a click here button on his shirt so I could turn him off for a little while, but nope that’s not going to happen. But he now has medicine so hopefully this child will be back in school tomorrow or the next day.

Lots of e-mails

April 22nd, 2010 -- Posted in Internet | No Comments »

Although I check my e-mails constantly, it seem like every time I open my e-mail account, I have tons and tons of unwanted e-mails. I have tried e-mailing some of these people back to unsubscribe to whatever mailing list I might have “accidentally” got on, but I still get them. This morning I woke up to over 50 e-mails in my account but most of them were e-mails about herpes simplex virus 1 and stuff like that. Really??? Why would I want to receive this type of stuff. Oh well until I can figure out how to change this all, I guess I’m just going to have to put up with it.

Feast or famine

April 20th, 2010 -- Posted in Work | No Comments »

I have found that over the past three years of working online that my work schedule usually runs in a feast or famine mode. For weeks I could go without any work whatsoever and then bam…. it hits. Well that’s what happened to me this week. Last week I had a pretty light workload but when I woke up this morning I checked my e-mails and discovered I have a ton of work to get done. Man… I love the money, but really do hate the deadlines. So I have to choose which work (like articles on prenatal vitamins) needs to be done quickly and what stuff I can put off for another day. I guess I really shouldn’t complain though because maybe one of these days there will be no work at all.

Oh well, I must get to work. See you all soon.

Light work load

April 19th, 2010 -- Posted in Work | No Comments »

Normally on Mondays I have a pile of work that needs to be done. But not this morning. I have a pretty light workload for today so I think I might dust off my resumes and start polishing them up. I do a lot of work from home activities and always am on the lookout for more contracts to help fill in my time. So that’s why I want to work on the resumes. This way when an opportunity arises, I will have a professional looking resume and this might help me to generate more work. No harm in trying right?!

Crafting again

April 19th, 2010 -- Posted in Crafts, Hobbies | No Comments »

So for the past few months I really haven’t done a whole lot of crafting. Between work and stuff going on with the kids, I really didn’t have a whole lot of time to indulge in my crafting hobby. But that all changed this weekend. I dug out (and dusted off) my sewing machine and started making some handcrafted bags. I had so much fun! I had forgotten how much fun and how relaxing participating in crafts can be. Now that I’ve caught the crafting bug once again, I plan on doing it a lot more often. Hopefully I can get a few items made and start selling them once again.

Crazy weather

April 15th, 2010 -- Posted in Life | No Comments »

You are not going to believe what I see when I’m looking out my window this morning. No I’m not looking at a blue acne light, I’m looking at snow falling! Snow, I’m not kidding. After the wonderful couple of weeks we’ve been having, seeing this white stuff covering my driveway and my car is just leaving me depressed. I thought when spring arrived, the snow would go away. Oh well, this stuff isn’t going to stay, but it still depresses me to think that we are having snow during the middle of April.

House hunting

April 14th, 2010 -- Posted in Home | No Comments »

Well it’s spring so you all know what that means don’t you?? That means that once again my husband and I have thoughts about purchasing a house. I would say that over the last three years, when spring finally does arrive, he starts to get antsy and thinks that he would like to find a house to purchase and to move out of this park. Well it hasn’t happened in three years so I don’t really have my hopes up that it’s going to happen this year either. I swear it would probably be less of a headache if we were looking for wholesale hot tub covers then us thinking about buying a house. But… I’ll play his silly little game once again, and who knows, maybe this year he will surprise me and buy a house.

Spring cleaning

April 13th, 2010 -- Posted in Home | No Comments »

Spring cleaning. What’s that???

A couple of months ago I started spring cleaning and really was hitting my groove. Then…. other things came up and all my spring cleaning kind of went by the wayside. Now because I have let it go so long I have to redo everything that I had already done and yes, that even means re-dusting all the blinds and everything. It’s times like this that I really wish I wasn’t the only one in this house who does the housework. Maybe if I had a little help, this process would go a whole lot quicker. But since I’m the one who has to do it, I guess I have to just buckle down and get started once again.
