Family time

Yesterday we were invited to my father in law’s for a nice family dinner. Although my husband and the kids have been done there quite a bit, due to my work schedule I haven’t seen them since Christmas. So, it was nice to get out and to sit down to enjoy a nice family dinner. The kids had fun (although my youngest son doesn’t eat Chinese food) and were extremely happy to be able to visit their Grampie.

I wish we could do this more often, but because he moved over an hour away, this just isn’t possible. But now with the nice weather coming, maybe these family dinners will come a little more frequently. At least I didn’t have to cook for once!

I agree that family dinners are important. We had one Sunday and I was in my glory. The grandkids loved it and actively participated in family discussions. Nothing makes me happier than having quality family time.
