Another month gone.

March 31st, 2009 -- Posted in Life | No Comments »

The year 2009 is really flying by. It’s the end of the month once again. Tomorrow is April 1st. Where does the time go? Although it will be April tomorrow, we are still pretty much in winter. Yeah, I know it’s supposed to be spring. But this morning we woke up to snow and ice once again. But with April right around the corner, it does give me hope that spring will finally be on it’s way. Maybe?? Now this March almost gone, hopefully the snow will be too.

200th post!

March 23rd, 2009 -- Posted in Blogging | No Comments »

Wow! I really do blog a lot! I just noticed that on this blog alone, this will be my 200th post. So I thought it would be fun to see what in heck I’ve been talking about. Well, I do a lot of posts about the children (complaining a lot I think), I have done some paid reviews and I have a tendency to talk a lot about wanting to run away to places like a downtown San Diego hotel. I didn’t realize that I was quite so unhappy in life, but after reading all my posts, I am now wondering if maybe I shouldn’t make some changes. I think maybe I should go into all my other blogs just to see what I’ve posted in them.

Weekend plans

March 20th, 2009 -- Posted in Life | No Comments »

We actually have a pretty busy weekend planned this weekend. Tomorrow and Sunday I do have to work, but only until 2:00 pm. So after work we will be doing a little travelling. On Saturday we plan on going to the RV and camper show in a town that is close to our area. Then on Sunday we have two appointments to go see some houses. That’s right folks, we are in the market for a home again. This time when we go I’m going to take our Canon camera so that I can take pictures and compare the looks of the houses to their prices. Maybe this way, we can cut down on the amount of showings that we need to go to and just make up our minds and purchase a home.

Anyway, it looks to be a busy and interesting weekend. Hope you all have a great weekend yourselves.

Very productive week

March 20th, 2009 -- Posted in Home | No Comments »

Man, I am so proud of myself! This was the first week in over two weeks that I have been able to manage to get any serious housework done. And I must say that I have been an extremely busy beaver. The biggest chore that I set out for myself was to clean out the little room that I had decided would be my home office. Now the reason for all this excitement, is that I planned on having this room well over a year ago and have just finally gotten into it! I have been bugging my husband all this time to help me get it cleaned out and situated but he kept putting me off. So this past week I bit the bullet and did it myself. I was finally able to get my computer, table and chair in it last night. I still have a lot of things to do in this room, but I really do think I will get it done quite quickly. So it was a very productive week and I’m looking forward to spending a lot more time in MY space.

Family time

March 16th, 2009 -- Posted in Family | 2 Comments »

Yesterday we were invited to my father in law’s for a nice family dinner. Although my husband and the kids have been done there quite a bit, due to my work schedule I haven’t seen them since Christmas. So, it was nice to get out and to sit down to enjoy a nice family dinner. The kids had fun (although my youngest son doesn’t eat Chinese food) and were extremely happy to be able to visit their Grampie.

I wish we could do this more often, but because he moved over an hour away, this just isn’t possible. But now with the nice weather coming, maybe these family dinners will come a little more frequently. At least I didn’t have to cook for once!

Back on track

March 9th, 2009 -- Posted in Blogging, Internet | No Comments »

This past weekend I was not able to spend very much time on my computer. For some reason my Internet connection was running very slow and it was just frustrating me when I tried to load up any site. So, all my blogs got seriously neglected. Well now it’s Monday morning and the Internet seems to be working just fine. So, I’ll be able to post on all my blogs today. I really do have a lot to say and not being able to post about anything including heritage raspberry really does get me down. Hopefully this was just a one time deal and my Internet will stay fast for a while longer again. I really do hate when I can’t do things on the computer and have to put things off.

My eyes are starting to cross

March 6th, 2009 -- Posted in Internet, Work, income | No Comments »

I have spent so much time on the Internet these past few days that my eyes are starting to go cross eyed. Nope, I haven’t really been doing a lot of blogging, I have been busy writing a 40 page report on online dating. Yes, you read that right, 40 pages. So far it has taken me three days to get as far as I have. Oh, what I would give to start writing about something else right now. Even a topic such as rock tumblers sounds like a great idea to me. Oh well, a couple of more days and my report will be done and I will be able to submit and get paid. Honestly at this point the thought of getting paid is the only thing that is keeping me routed to my chair. I’ll be sure to let you know when all 40 pages are finally done.

Finally fed up!

March 6th, 2009 -- Posted in Family, Work | No Comments »

Well I knew it was going to happen. I just didn’t know when. My husband has been very unhappy with his present job lately and I knew that he was going to crack any day now. Well it happened. But in a much milder way than I thought it would. For years now he has been using his own personal cell phone for work calls. And has been footing the bill himself. Well, yesterday he went in and got his number changed and refuses to give it to his work. If they want to contact him they will have to call the house. He kind of gave them a couple of choices. They could either get him a work cell phone or offer him a toll free number. The choice is theirs. But from this day forward, they won’t be able to call his cell phone and him have to pay for it.

Crappy weather is still with us

March 6th, 2009 -- Posted in Life | No Comments »

Honestly, I thought that when March finally arrived, we would be seeing a lot nicer weather. But no, this has not happened yet. Even though it’s March 6, we are currently being hit with a major snowstorm. It’s been snowing all day and they are predicting that all this is going to turn to rain soon. Well, this is going to make the roads pretty crappy.

Well, I have just about given up on March and am now looking forward to April for some spring weather. Hopefully by then winter will be long gone. Keep your fingers crossed for me guys and I’ll keep you all posted.

Grading present

March 5th, 2009 -- Posted in Kids | No Comments »

Yeah, I know this is only March and the kids don’t end school until June, but it’s never too early to think about grading presents. Both of the kids have done wonderful this year so we are thinking about getting them an extra special grading present. For a few years now, they have both been begging us for a dog and I think this year we are going to get them one. I really do believe that they are both old enough to take care of a dog and that was kind of why we waited all these years before considering getting them one. Yeah, I know it will cost a bit of money for the dog and all the dog supplies, but I honestly do believe that the time has come to purchase them their dream. They are going to be so surprised.
