Well I have to tell you all that I don’t think I’ve been as excited about a new store coming to town as I am right now. Last night when I was leaving work I walked by a vacant store and was very pleased to see that a new bead store is going in there. Me being the beading addict that I am, I had to stop and look into the window. They have done quite a bit of work in there already and by the looks of things it should be opening up soon for business. They have painted the entire store, added used cisco equipment and have put in a lot of shelving units. The store is supposed to open on November 7 and you can just bet that I will be one of the first customers there standing in line.

Well the weekend is finally here and it’s going to be a busy one. This is the weekend that my father in law will be walking down the isle to say “I do”. Tonight we are going to the rehearsal (my husband is going to be the best man) and then the rehearsal dinner. Tomorrow we will be attending the ceremony, then the dinner and then the dance. Although neither one of my husband’s two sisters will be going, my husband and I and the kids will definitely be there.
So if I don’t see you all again, I’d like to wish you all a great weekend and I’ll be back to talk to you all again the first of next week.

This weekend my father in law is getting married. Although this is a little too soon for him to get back into the marital game, he has met this woman and now wants to spend the rest of his days with her. If you weren’t aware, his wife of 47 years passed away just last year and the family isn’t really pleased with this wedding. But to be supportive, my husband and I and the kids will be attending the wedding. So we had to come up with a wedding present. The dilemma was what to buy them because between the two of them they have everything. So we got them a gift certificate for a night away at a bread and breakfast. If we had the money I would have loved to send them to an Outer Banks rentals but we just couldn’t afford it at this time. Hopefully they will like what we give them and just enjoy a night away together.

Although I’m not overweight by any means and don’t need to take any type of herbal diet supplements on any occasion, I still do worry about my health. I am severely underweight so therefore don’t have a whole lot of energy. I find it especially bad in the winter and normally have to take some type of vitamins to help keep the energy levels up. I know that part of my problem is my own fault as I don’t eat nearly enough, but some days eating is such a chore that I generally skip it. But now with the winter season fully upon us, I have purchased my vitamins and will start taking them on a regular basis. I have also vowed to myself that I will eat more often and eat healthier so hopefully my health won’t get too bad this winter.

The other day another craft friend of mine was showing me all the promotional items that she had just received in the mail. She bought these items to give away at different craft fairs and flea markets during the Christmas craft fair season. I want some!! She has a fairly big crafting business and has decided by handing out this items, she can create more buzz for her business. More buzz means more money. I know I should really get off my butt and start promoting my business a little bit more and after seeing all the promotional items she purchased I now know what I need to do. But knowing this and doing something about it is really two different things now isn’t it? Hopefully by the next Christmas season I will have a bunch of promotional items that I can give away as well.

Last night I sat down to start working on a cross stitch pattern that needs to be done for a friend of mine by Christmas. First of all I’ve been trying to work on this thing for about a month now, but every time I go to work on it something comes up and I need to put it down. So I don’t have a whole lot done on it and time is running away on me. This is very frustrating. But as I said last night I was going to do this again and yup, you guessed it something came up. Really I don’t know if this is the universes little way of telling me that I shouldn’t be working on this project. I’m almost half tempted to tell my friend that I’m not going to be able to get it done for this year and that maybe should should purchase her parents something else. But, I’m going to give it another week and if I get nothing accomplished in that time, then I think I will end up telling her sorry but it isn’t going to work out.

My second favorite holiday has to be fall. My first one is spring. But I do enjoy the fall season because of all the brightly colored trees. I just love to take a walk in the woods where we live, dig out the Nikon binoculars and search the woods for all the brightly colored leaves. This is one of our favorite activities to do as a family. The kids each have their own set of binoculars and get pretty excited when we start to head out the door. It won’t be too much longer before the kids won’t want to take this annual trip with me anymore so I’m enjoying it while I can.

Wow! It seems like every time I pick up a magazine, all I see is advertisements for weight loss pills. I really don’t know how people who are trying to lose a little bit of weight can choose between all these products. I just noticed another one that I hadn’t heard tell of the other night which is called alli. Honestly how many weight loss products does the economy need. I am so glad that I am on the thin side (notice I didn’t say skinny). I don’t have to really worry about which products are the best. But it does make me wonder how individuals are able too choose what they think will work out the best for them.

I have to tell you that one of my favorite things about blogging is finding and discovering other interesting blogs. The blogs that I’m usually most interested in would be the personal ones, the ones on parenting and some of the money making ones. I mainly blog hop as a way to relax after a trying day with the kids and just like to sit back and read about other peoples lives and their day to day activities.
Well today I was doing some normal blog hopping and I have to say that I was a little disturbed about some things I’d seen. A few sites have pictures and posts done up about Christmas and how they have started getting ready for it. And since I have barely started this really did upset me. It just reminded me that I have only 65 days left till Christmas and how little I have accomplished. Now I’m all for the Christmas season. Really I am. But in October??
