Still can’t cook

One of the things that I planned to accomplish when I quit my job well over a year ago was I had planned to learn how to cook. Although I’m am a 40 year old mother and wife, when it comes to skills of the kitchen I am completely hopeless. So I purchased a few cook books with some really easy recipes in there and made my plans to teach myself. Well as you can see by the title of this post, that didn’t happen. I really don’t have the interest in learning and I have discovered that if the interest isn’t there then any attempts are futile. Oh well, the family won’t starve as my husband knows how to cook. So I’ll just keep doing what I know how to do and leave the fancy cooking stuff to him.

Many women don’t cook. I, however, love to cook. I love to try new recipes. When the holidays arrive I bake lots of cookies for family and friends.

Oh well, you’re right. It’s hard to something when the interest is not there in the first place.

like most people, i’d like to say: Dont give up, keep trying.. :D

Cooking is something I had to learn as a child, and I have taught all of my kids to cook, one even wants to be a chef. I must admit though until my kids were old enough to cook there were days I wished my husband would cook more.

    Love your template!

Have faith, cooking does not come easily to some. I was hopeless for the longest time. What I did was start easy, with box based meals. Hamburger helper stuff like that. And slowly I added to my reptoire. The more often you cook something the more comfortable you get with it. I still stick to meat and potatoes, and use the GRILL all the time. But at least I am cooking and we are not spending $$$ at a restaurant.
